Cape Cod has always been a vacation destination for my family, and I've been lucky enough to visit nearly every summer for as long as I can remember. This past weekend when I was there, Mom brought me to the local library – a place where we spent many a rainy afternoon when I was younger – and showed me a brick in the newly renovated walkway that she had dedicated from us (it reads: For Summers of Pleasure and Thought). We are now a permanent part of this place that clearly made a permanent impression on me.
