Buzz Alert: CLOSED CASKET is Making the Rounds!

9780062458827_94cb3This year marks the 100th anniversary of Hercule Poirot, Agatha Christie's inimitable Belgian detective. With the incredibly talented Sophie Hannah taking up the reigns and writing new mysteries featuring Poirot, Christie's vibrant legacy lives on. Ms. Hannah’s first Poirot mystery, The Monogram Murders was published to great acclaim back in 2014. The latest installment, Closed Casket, just went on sale earlier this month. See below for some of the media surrounding one of the world's all-time greatest mystery writers.

Parade.com features Closed Casket on Agatha Christie’s birthday

“Even decades after her death, Agatha Christie reigns supreme as the Queen of Crime. Today, internationally best-selling author Sophie Hannah carries on the beloved detective novelist’s work by writing all-new novels featuring Christie’s famed Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot. In Hannah’s second Poirot mystery, Closed Casket (William Morrow), Lady Athelinda Playford throws a house party with an unusual guest list that ends in murder.”

Washington Post review of Closed Casket

“The plot is carefully spun out. Clues emerge, but the case remains perplexing. At the heart of the puzzle is why Poirot and Catchpool have been invited to this dinner in the first place. Had Lady Playford anticipated — or possibly instigated — the murder? As Poirot and Catchpool suss out the evidence, Christie aficionados will delight in the familiar repartee and the intricate deduction of the solution.”

We are going to try something a bit different today.  This time the first 5 people to email the correct answer to librarylovefest@harpercollins.com will be the winners.  Not that anyone would ever dare peek at the comments before answering, but just to be fair.

I won't keep you in suspense any longer…

What pseudonym did Agatha Christie write under and for what genre?

Good Luck!
